Terms of Use

Last Updated: October 2026

1. AGREEMENT

By using PairCrypt, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the application.

2. SUBSCRIPTIONS

Premium features are auto-renewable. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled. Subscription cancellations and refund requests are handled according to the applicable App Store or Google Play policies and procedures. PairCrypt may use a privacy-preserving cryptographic credential mechanism to separate subscription verification from the identity used for private communications.

3. USER RESPONSIBILITY

PairCrypt uses anonymous device identities rather than user accounts. There are no usernames, passwords, or account recovery mechanisms. You are solely responsible for your encryption keys. To the maximum extent permitted by law, PairCrypt is not liable for data loss due to lost keys, device failure, or user error. PairCrypt cannot recover your data if you lose your keys.

4. LICENSE & CONDUCT

PairCrypt grants a limited license for personal use. Users agree not to use the app for any illegal activities under applicable law or their local jurisdiction.

Users also agree not to intentionally abuse, disrupt, overload, circumvent, or interfere with PairCrypt's infrastructure, security controls, service limits, or access controls, including through malicious or automated activity.

5. ENCRYPTION, TOR & NETWORK LIMITATIONS

PairCrypt provides end-to-end encryption and an optional embedded Tor network feature. These features are designed to improve the privacy and security of communications but do not guarantee absolute security, anonymity, or protection against every possible threat.

When Tor is enabled, PairCrypt's applicable application network traffic is routed through Tor and PairCrypt uses a fail-closed approach rather than silently falling back to a direct connection when Tor is unavailable.

PairCrypt does not operate as a device-wide VPN. Other applications and device traffic are not necessarily routed through PairCrypt's Tor connection.

Tor circuits and exit IP addresses are controlled by the Tor network. PairCrypt does not guarantee that a "New Circuit" request will produce a different exit IP address or provide uninterrupted network connectivity.

6. SERVICE AVAILABILITY

PairCrypt may experience temporary interruptions, maintenance, network failures, infrastructure failures, or other availability issues. PairCrypt does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Security and privacy features may temporarily prevent network communication when required to maintain their intended protections, including when Tor is enabled but unavailable.

7. WARRANTY & LIABILITY

PairCrypt is provided "AS IS" without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for indirect or consequential damages resulting from app use.

Nothing in these Terms limits any rights or protections that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.

8. GOVERNING LAW

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in India.
